Industry experts shared insight and knowledge with Media and Communication students at a special networking event focused on careers in the media.
Head of PR and Communication at John Lennon Airport Robin Tudor, Digital Campaign Manager at Lime Pictures Carly Stratton, Head of Video at Lime Pictures Graham Gallary and Producer with Through Our Eyes Films Carlie Rice, gave talks on what it’s like to work in their industries.
They discussed the challenges they face, how they achieved their positions and provided the opportunity to speak one-to-one.
Lecturer in Marketing and Media Sue Cronshaw, who organised the event alongside Employability Placement Officer Sarah Goulden, described the event as a success.
She said: “Students asked about work experience, what employers look for on CV's and the skills needed to get a foot in the door. This was a rare opportunity for students to be in conversation with industry professionals and to gain a great insight into employment in the media industry.”
