The next reunion for former staff and students of Mount Pleasant/Notre Dame Teacher Training Colleges will be on Friday 2nd February 2018. Our Candlemas Reunion has now become an annual event and we welcome people from all sections of the Notre Dame community. The day originally catered for the Liverpool Notre Dame Training College former staff and students but this has been extended to include all with connections to Notre Dame. We have participants from the Notre Dame Associations, the High Schools and the convents amongst others.
No matter which group you are in, please use the day as a mini-reunion for you and your friends. There is a midday Mass followed by lunch but apart from these, there is no formal plan for the day. This gives people the chance to meet and talk and share a lunchtime meal. We have the seating accommodation for the day and although there is the opportunity to tour the Childwall campus, there is no pressure to take part and you can spend the day relaxing and catching up on news.
This year the reunion will take place on 3rd February 2017. We will meet as usual at 10.30am, this time in the Formal Dining area of Fresh Hope, for tea/coffee and biscuits. After a 12noon Mass, we will sit down for lunch in the Eden Arbour Room at 1.00pm. Optional afternoon tea (tea/coffee and cream cakes) will be available at 3.45pm. The cost for the day will be £15 which includes lunch, the welcome tea/coffee and biscuits and a £2 donation to the Notre Dame Scholarship Fund. If you wish to include afternoon tea the price will be £20. If you wish to book, please email email@example.com.
Every year we receive telephone calls from people who are not on our database and who have only heard of the Reunion at the last minute. We do ensure that everyone whose contact details we have, is sent this letter, though there can be hiccups in the postal system! Please do spread the news of the Reunion to as many people you know and encourage them to get in touch with us if we do not have their details. We hope to see you in February!
