Public invited to view student art and design creations at Degree Show 2018

degree show work on display

An exhibition showcasing the work of final year students from the Department of Fine and Applied Art is set to go on display at the Creative Campus.

Opening with a private viewing on Friday 25th May, the 2018 Degree Show will feature paintings, sculpture, jewellery design, textiles and ceramics.

The content of the work is wide-ranging and includes thematic topics such as, memory, social justice, abstraction, installation, and the role of technology in public and private spaces.

A range of awards sponsored by prestigious art organisations will be presented to students on the opening night, including the FACT+Liverpool Hope Production Residency Award, which was introduced in 2015.

The exhibition is the culmination of three years of study by BA Design and BA Fine Art students, with many pieces available to purchase at the viewing.

Members of the public are able to view the exhibition from Saturday 26th May to Monday 4th June (closed Monday 28th May), 10am - 4pm in the Cornerstone Building at the Creative Campus.

Guided tours are available at 1pm daily, and provide a great opportunity to speak with students about the University and their work.

To make a booking, please call 0151 291 3516 or email art@hope.ac.uk.
