Reed Fink Award presented to Dr Bryce Evans

Dr Bryce Evans, Associate Professor in History, has been awarded the 2019 Reed Fink Award in Southern Labor History.

The award enables research in the Southern Labor Archives at Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA, which is home to more than 500 collections and is one of the largest labour history archives in North America.

This prestigious annual award honours the contributions of professors Merl E. Reed and Gary Fink, both of whom were instrumental in the establishment, development, and use of the Southern Labor Archives in the 1970s.

Associate Professor Evans will use the award to carry out research for his forthcoming history of food and aviation, which is to be published by Bloomsbury, and will deliver a public lecture while in Atlanta.
