The Association of Research Management and Administration (ARMA) has honoured Hope’s Research Facilitator Colin Cooper with one of its highest honours.

Colin was presented with the 2017 Outstanding Contribution to Research Management and Administration award for his dedicated work in the profession over many years.

The award is the most prestigious of its kind that an individual in the UK Research Administration field can receive.

Colin said: “Of course, an award like this also reflects the contribution made by my colleagues. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank Senior Management here at Hope and colleagues in other professional services - who through your support with day-to-day operations - have enabled me to achieve this.

“By allowing me to continue with speaker engagements, conference attendance, delivering external training, development and delivery of the APS, HIRA, running large meetings, internal workshop delivery, and through help with embedding policies and procedures, I’ve been able to develop the research support at Hope.”

The award is not only great news for Colin, but will also help towards the University’s Institutional Environment report in the Research Excellence Framework 2021.
