Five colleagues from the Faculty of Science attended a specialist training course on transcranial magnetic stimulation at University College London.
Associate Professor Caroline Wakefield, Dr Dan Clarke, Dr Glen Pennington, Marc Wells and Stephanie Romano-Smith were shown how to artificially stimulate the motor cortex. By using a magnetic field, they learnt how to create virtual lesions and evoke motor responses.
If any colleagues would like a demonstration of the equipment, please contact the Health Sciences or Psychology team for more details.
