A second award has been presented to Research Facilitator Colin Cooper, for his Distinguished Contribution to Research Administration.
The Society of Research Administrators (SRA) International selected Colin to receive the Herbert B Chermside Award.
It was presented to him in recognition of his “contributions to the knowledge of research administrators”, as well as his “dedication to the continuous study and development of the field”. The SRA International also explained that the award results from Colin’s “strong advocacy for SRAI”, and his “distinguished contributions in the development of research administration as a profession”.
Nominations for the award come from leaders in colleges and universities, industry, government and the SRA International membership. Nominees must have been involved in research administration for at least 15 years.
The award is the second this year for Colin, after he was presented with the 2017 Outstanding Contribution to Research Management and Administration award by the Association of Research Management and Administration.
