Work by MA Creative Practice alumna Janette Law has gone on display at Tate Liverpool.
Janette’s piece Venus Rising forms part of the Room for Improvement initiative, which provides a calm space for visitors to explore learning, art and movement as tools for self-care.
Speaking about the inspiration behind her art, Janette said: “My painting deals with the re-fashioning of identity following a cancer diagnosis.
“More importantly, painting gave me a language to process my cancer experience when I was not able to put it into words. It continues to be necessary to me in maintaining my mental health and well-being.”
The piece will be on display until Sunday 16th December at Tate Liverpool.
