Ten years on from the original event, The Big Hope fulfils its promise to welcome back young people from around the world to Liverpool, as the city celebrates a decade since being European Capital of Culture.
The Big Hope 2 will provide the opportunity for young people from diverse backgrounds to come together to explore and debate key issues affecting individuals and societies around the world, such as freedom, conflict, equality and change.
These four issues will form the four pillars of the conference. Workshops, seminars and keynote speeches will focus on the relationships between these issues and factors such as innovation, communication, work and business, and faith.
Among the speakers confirmed for 2018 are Chief Executive of the Premier League Richard Scudamore, Baroness Illora Finlay of Llandaff, Chief Executive of Everton Football Club Robert Elstone, Social Justice Activist Father Michael Lapsley and the Rt Hon Lord David Alton .
