Tomorrow's teachers celebrate professional qualifications

PGCE students by the fountain

Aspiring teachers of tomorrow gathered to celebrate achieving their Postgraduate Certificates in Education (PGCE) at three special ceremonies held in Hope Chapel.

Friends and family members watched on, as dressed in full graduation regalia, the successful Early Years, Primary, and Secondary students crossed the stage and collected their professional qualifications.

The PGCE celebrations mark the start of Summer Graduations at Liverpool Hope, with Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral hosting three ceremonies this week.

These events will celebrate Graduands who have achieved their Bachelors, Masters, PhDs, and EdDs, as well as welcoming three Honorary Doctorate recipients into the Hope community.

Dr Margaret Ashwell OBE, Mr Ian Cosh, and Professor Nigel Osborne will each be conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of their contribution to their specific field of activity, and the values and mission of Liverpool Hope University.
