An international arts magazine showcased the latest work from the School of Creative and Performing Arts’ Jason Jones, who has returned from eight-year creative hiatus.
The Fine & Applied Arts Technical Manager recently began painting again after taking a break from his practice, revisiting some of his original themes.
Speaking to Art & Museum Magazine, Jason described how the first piece in his new collection - ‘Emerging’ - was the culmination of “pent-up ideas, emotions and thoughts”, which he “couldn’t get it on to the canvas quick enough”.
The magazine, which is dedicated to all aspects of Fine Art including, Artists, Forensics, Business of Art, Auctions, Fairs, Insurance, and Museums, showcased Jason’s work following an exhibition of his new pieces at the Corke Art Gallery.
Previously, Jason spent seven years developing his craft after graduating with a Fine Art and Psychology Degree in 1998.
