Dr Sridevi Yerrabati (Sri) is a Senior Lecturer in Economics and Finance at Liverpool Hope Business School. She is a certified Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (PG Cert HE). Her experience teaching in higher education spans over two decades, covering India, the United Kingdom, and Oman.

Sri obtained her PhD from the University of Greenwich, where her doctoral research undertook a systematic review of the literature on foreign direct investments, economic governance, and economic growth in the context of South and East Asia and Pacific countries. Alongside identifying the factors that have caused heterogeneity among the reported estimates, her research provided valuable information to policymakers by increasing the sample size and the power of the study effects.

Her research examines various issues connected to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 1, 5, 8 and 10 in the context of developing countries. It primarily concerns matters involving the employment of workers who are not part of the mainstream labour market and lack formal employment arrangements. To this end, her recent publications delve into the intricate dynamics between these workers and socioeconomic issues, including poverty, inequality, and sustainable economic growth. Her goal is to advocate for financial support initiatives tailored to the needs of these workers to enhance their well-being. As part of her efforts to promote research on SDGs, she has established and leads the Sustainable Economic Development (SED) research group.

Sri welcomes PhD applications on socio-economic issues connected to SDG 1, 5, 8 and 10 in the context of low-income/lower-middle-income/developing countries.
