Dr. Stephanie Haddad is a Lecturer in Marketing at Liverpool Hope University. Prior to joining Liverpool Hope, she worked at a number of universities, including, Northumbria University and Lebanese American University. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She has a PhD in Marketing, Operations and Systems, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and two undergraduate degrees (BBAs) in Auditing and Accounting, and in Finance and Financial Institutions. Her PhD thesis explored the impact of self-brand-congruity on emotional brand attachment and their subsequent effect on the patronage of original and counterfeit luxury brands, testing self-regulation as a moderator. She has submitted her PhD thesis in just 2.5 years instead of 3-4 years and has received the PhD Representative Award (2023 and 2022) and has been shortlisted for the PhD Student of the Year Award in the postgrad awards (2023 and 2022) from thousands of candidates worldwide.
Her main research and teaching interest are in consumer psychology and behaviour, fashion marketing and branding, luxury brand management, and AI in marketing. She also follows a pragmatist philosophy of mixed methods approach (Quantitative and Qualitative). Her research has appeared in the Journal of Brand Management, the Academy of Marketing, the Fashion Marketing Colloquium Discourse, and Canvas8 UK. Her research has attracted media attention and been invited to podcasts such as Live Podcast with Ghalia. She has severed as a member of panel and chaired several conferences. Dr Stephanie has received numerous awards such as the Student Led Teaching Award (2023), Special Recognition for Support in the Classroom (2023), and Highly Commended Academic Impact of the Year Award (2023 and 2022).
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Academy of Marketing (AM), International top Leaders and Researchers Network (IBERA), and Fashion and Marketing Consumption Discourse (FMCd). Dr Stephanie has various industrial experience such as an external auditor at KPMG, a retail co-founder, and a supervisor at Beirut Fashion Week.
