Lecturer in Media and Communication Dr Noel Brown is celebrating publishing his new book with a launch event at Hope Park.
British Children’s Cinema - From The Thief Of Bagdad To Wallace and Gromit is the latest text from Dr Brown, who has published widely on British and Hollywood cinema history.
His other books include; The Hollywood Family Film: A History, from Shirley Temple to Harry Potter (I.B. Tauris, 2012), The Children’s Film: Genre, Nation and Narrative (Columbia University Press, forthcoming 2017), Contemporary Hollywood Animation (Edinburgh University Press, forthcoming), and, as co-editor, Family Films in Global Cinema: The World Beyond Disney (I.B. Tauris, 2015) and Toy Story (Bloomsbury, forthcoming 2018).
The book launch and wine reception will be held on Tuesday 9th May at 3pm in the HCA Senior Common Room.
