Artwork created by Fine Art graduate Kate Chesters has been showcased in the British version of influential fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue.
Kate, who studied a BA in Fine Art and MA in Art History and Curating at Liverpool Hope, featured in three issues of the magazine – May, June and July 2019.
Working with resin, Kate creates abstract pieces including artisan boards and bowls, original artwork, candles, and coasters and placemats.
Kate said: “Living and working in Liverpool, I practice as an abstract artist. My work is influenced by what I see on my travels around the world. As a result, instead of recreating a landscape, I aim to capture its essence, expression and emotion.
“Creating my artwork is an unpredictable journey where the outcome is discovered by the method and material. My goal is to create engaging art, which prompts dialogue and contemplation. Therefore, the viewer is encouraged to draw on their imagination and see the work in their own individual way.”
Kate also recently featured on Amazon Handmade, with the video showcasing her work reaching more than 160,000 views.
