Exhibition: Food in the Bible Reimagined - 3.00–4.00pm, Anglican Cathedral

This exhibition brings together creative and cultural perspectives on food inspired by sacred scripture. Educationalists from Live & Learn, a partner school in Zimbabwe, present their interpretations through imaginative artwork.

Developed in collaboration with Liverpool Hope’s Global Student & Partnership Centre and the School of Creative & Performing Arts, the exhibition forms part of a wider artistic project, creating a dialogue between place, tradition, and interpretation.

Open to the public, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on how food connects culture, faith, and community across time.

Working in Partnership

Hope in Action Week is delivered in collaboration with partners across Liverpool’s faith and community sectors. We are grateful for the support of Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, Micah Liverpool, the Poverty Research and Advocacy Network (PRAN), and Live & Learn (Zimbabwe).

Why This Matters

Poverty and food insecurity continues to affect millions across the UK. With 7.2 million adults and 2.7 million children experiencing food insecurity, the need for collective action has never been greater.

Hope in Action Week brings people together to spark conversation, deepen understanding, and inspire practical action. Whether you attend an event, volunteer your time, or donate, you can play a part in creating meaningful, lasting change.
