Liverpool Hope University’s sport courses have come top in the UK for student satisfaction in the 2020 Complete University Guide (CUG).

It means Hope sport students are more content with their learning than those at any of the other 131 UK Higher Education institutions in the CUG guide.

The University is also fifth in the UK and top in the North West in the overall satisfaction category - a guide to how satisfied students are with the quality of teaching they receive.

Students can study four courses in sport at Hope; Sport and Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Science, Sport Psychology and Sport Rehabilitation.

Programme leader for Sport and PE, Associate Professor Caroline Wakefield said: "These results reflect the hard work of a dedicated and highly competent teaching team.

“We are committed to the academic development of our students alongside a strong pastoral care system and we are delighted that this is reflected in the satisfaction of our students”.

Programme leader for Sport and Exercise Science, Associate Professor Simon Marwood, added: “Our students study extensively in our state-of-the-art laboratories and first class sports facilities.

"As a result they graduate with advanced practical and applied skills necessary for a career in sport.”
