Liverpool Hope University has climbed six places in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027, marking its strongest position in the table for three years.
The latest rankings, published on Friday 18 September 2026, place Hope at joint 84th nationally, up from joint 90th in 2026. The result continues a three-year upward trajectory, with Hope moving from joint 94th in 2025 to joint 90th in 2026 and now joint 84th in 2027, an overall improvement of 10 places since 2025.
The University has recorded particularly strong improvements in student continuation and degree outcomes. Continuation has increased from 86.6 per cent to 90.7 per cent, while the proportion of students achieving a First or 2:1 has risen from 71.0 per cent to 73.7 per cent.
Teaching quality continues to be a key strength for the University, with a score of 88.1 per cent. Hope's Teaching Quality score is also the highest among the 12 North West institutions included in the tables, highlighting the University's strong performance in this area.

These results reflect the commitment of our staff and students to teaching, learning and student success.
