Snooker legend turned musician to take the stage at Angel Field Festival – here’s how you can get your tickets

Utopia Angel Field Festival

An exciting week-long festival of arts and culture is coming to Liverpool this month.

The Angel Field Festival will celebrate its 12th year of bringing together music, art, film and workshops, and will run from 20 – 21 March 2025.

Hosted at The Capstone Theatre, located within Liverpool Hope University’s Creative Campus, the festival is a celebration of international art with acts coming to the city from as far as the Seychelles and Louisiana, alongside more local performers.

Amongst an exciting schedule, the festival is delighted to welcome snooker legend and former world champion Steve Davis OBE. Steve Davis’ electronic band The Utopia Strong will take the Angel Field stage on Friday 21 March. Formed in Glastonbury in 2018, the group released their self-titled debut album in 2019 and their second, International Treasure, in 2022.

As part of the festival, The Hope Metropolitan Orchestra and Singers, conducted by Stephen Pratt, will perform on Saturday 22 March. The concerts features works by Mozart written in the final year of his life, 1791. These include the ever-popular Requiem, Ave Verum and the overture to The Magic Flute. There are also extracts from his little-known opera La Clemenza di Tito, which will be sung by soloists Barbara Ruzsics and Sarah Helsby Hughes.

The University is delighted to host the fantastic Angel Field Festival at the Creative Campus, celebrating arts and culture from around the world and from close to home too. The festival champions creativity in all its forms, from dance to music to theatre and more, and tells people’s stories through the means of a variety of artistic disciplines.
