Liverpool Hope University Business School students celebrate outstanding success at the Young Enterprise North West Final.
Competing against 11 teams from universities across the North West region, Hope students achieved the top prize, with the Young Enterprise North West Start-Up Award for Best Overall Company awarded to “So You Wanna Be…?”.
This recognition highlights the team’s innovation, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong presentation skills, beating a number of other regional universities for the top spot.
Congratulations to Stephen Williams, Taizo Okazaki, Lewis Williams, Benjamin Jones, Matthew Jeffries, Aaron Folan, Oliver Robinson, and Stephanie Kumar for this remarkable achievement. The students were mentored and supported in the run up and on the day by Hope tutor Krystyna Kovalska.
The Business School also celebrates an individual success, as Rhea Jacob, representing The Grand Digital, was named Young Enterprise Student of the Year. This award recognises exceptional commitment, leadership, and contribution throughout the enterprise journey.
Young Enterprise competitions bring together innovative student-led start-ups, giving participants the opportunity to gain real business experience, present to industry judges, and develop valuable professional skills. Our students’ success reflects not only their creativity and dedication but also the collaborative support they received from mentors and staff throughout the programme.
Following their regional win, the team will now progress to the Young Enterprise UK Final in May 2026, where they will represent Liverpool Hope University on a national stage. We wish them every success as they continue their inspiring journey.
