With winged sofas for privacy and comfy sofas for relaxing, you can catch up with friends. There is also a printer and lift on this floor.
Students' Union office and waiting area
The i3 building is now home to the Students' Union (SU) on the ground floor. Stop by to discover all the ways the SU can enhance your university experience in this exciting new space.
Lecture theatres and social spaces
The i3 building houses three newly refurbished Lecture Theatres, and you will also find group modular seating, lockers, and toilets.
Workspaces
On the first floor, you will find classroom I3114, a range of wireless PCs, extra power sockets for laptops and mobile phones, and some breakout group workspaces. You will also find a space where our academics are looking into bringing you state-of-the-art Virtual Reality hardware and software.
Simulation Lab
Liverpool Hope University is dedicated to exploring new technologies to ensure our students stay ahead of the curve. The Simulation Lab brings presentations to life with interactive walls and it will allow students to explore museums, labs, engines or it can even be used as a space for well-being activities.
Sustainability
In line with our commitment to sustainability and with low carbon targets, the i3 building features eco-friendly design elements, sustainable materials, and energy-efficient technologies. This building utilises air-source heat pumps instead of gas boilers and has solar panels on the roof. Natural daylight has been maximised to reduce energy demand associated with artificial lighting. This not only enhances the learning environment but also promotes awareness of sustainable practices among the university community.
Study spaces
On the second floor, you will find a whole area of flexible study spaces dedicated for study needs. This space is ideal for group projects, or individual study time. We offer a range of comfortable seating that overlooks the beautiful landscape of Hope Park Campus, where you can take a seat in one of our winged chairs and make use of the new laptop stands with a stunning view.
Teaching spaces
Outside of teaching hours, there are classrooms available for you to use. These classrooms have all been equipped with advanced technology, from brand-new smart boards to TV presentation screens and 360 web cameras that can track the presenter's movements. The seminar rooms also have webcams built into the sound bars, which means you can have online group meetings.
