I don’t know if I am ready to study at a University level/I have not studied for a long time, can you help?

We have a range of Degrees with Foundation Year. Foundation years are covered within your student loan. These courses have been created to offer a bridge between level 3 and year one of a university course. Degrees with Foundation Year all have a study skills strand that provide academic skills for the next three years of your degree.

Will I be the only student coming through Clearing onto my course?

You don’t need to have any concerns about coming to university through Clearing. Many successful students come through this route.

Will I be the only student going through Clearing?

Thousands of students were free to be placed in Clearing in 2024. So, you won't be the only student going through Clearing this year.

For more information, contact clearing@hope.ac.uk.

Can I apply for a course I was previously rejected for?

Applications to transfer must follow the Accreditation of Prior Learning procedure (APL, soon to be Recognition of Prior Learning/ RPL). Full instructions can be found on our Accreditation of Prior Learning webpage.

Please note that it is not possible for applicants to transfer from a foundation year. They would need to submit an application for first year entry like any other applicant.
