What is clearing?

What is Clearing?

Clearing becomes available between July and October. It is available to those wishing to start their undergraduate studies in September 2022 who are yet to secure a place at university.

If there are any places left on our courses, Clearing presents a chance for you to apply with Hope. So if you don’t currently have an offer - or if you’ve missed the offers that you did have - this is your chance to find your place at university.

When is Clearing Open?

5 July - 17 August, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

18 August, 7am - 7pm

19 August, 8am - 6pm

20 & 21 August, 10am - 2pm

22 August - 19 October, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Who can use Clearing?

People who have already applied to go to university this September will have been given offers that are usually dependant on getting certain grades on Results Day on August 10th. If you do not end up getting the grades needed or have changed your mind on your university, location or course, you can apply for a place through Clearing.

Some people might already know they want to go through Clearing - perhaps if they did not receive any offers from the universities they applied for.

Even if you have not applied to university in the last year, if you believe it to be an option for you, give us a ring and we can chat through your options.
