Award nominations now open

Nominations are now open for the Liverpool Hope and The Leaders Club Awards 2019, which will recognise exceptional leaders from across the Liverpool City region.

The inaugural Liverpool Hope and The Leaders Club Awards took place in March 2018 and highlighted some of the incredible work happening in the area.

For 2019, judges are once again looking to honour individuals who make a significant difference by demonstrating excellent leadership skills and/or promoting excellence in leadership in others.

Nominees are welcomed across six categories – Arts, Common Good, Enterprise, Health, Education, and Uniformed Services – and the judges are looking for leaders who demonstrate integrity, courage, empathy, competency, communication and co-operation, and who can show impact in their chosen field.

Professor Ian Vandewalle, Head of Liverpool Hope Business School, said: “Real-world experience and examples are at the core of teaching at Liverpool Hope, as we prepare our alumni to become tomorrow’s leaders. This awards ceremony in a fantastic way to inspire our students and celebrate outstanding examples of leadership in our region.”

Stephen Fletcher, Founder of The Leaders Club, said: “We live in challenging times. Challenging times need inspirational leaders. Following the huge success of the inaugural Liverpool Hope and The Leaders Club Leaders Awards, six worthy winners were recognised and rewarded at a glittering celebration dinner in front of an audience of 140. We aim to build on this success, by identifying leaders who have made a real difference in 2018 in what they do within Liverpool City Region.

“In particular we want to recognise, identify, acclaim and reward ‘emerging’ leaders - individuals who are not only making a real difference now, but will develop to become great leaders in the years to come.”
