Lecturer in Public Law Dr Brian Christopher Jones has had two items published, an edited book and new post for the UK Constitutional Law blog.
Law and Politics of the Taiwan Sunflower and Hong Kong Umbrella Movements explores the rule of law in China and comparative perspectives.
The book is described as looking at Taiwan’s Sunflower Movement and Hong Kong’s Umbrella Movement, and the complex legal and political significance of the two movements.
It explores the complex questions they pose as regards to democracy, rule of law, authority and freedom of speech.
Dr Jones has also published a blog post on The Government’s Quandary: ‘Great’, or Ordinary, Repeal.
