Senior Lecturer in Drama Dr Stephe Harrop features in a new ebook released by the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama (APGRD) at the University of Oxford.
Dr Harrop plays the avenging queen Clytemnestra in John Studeley's 1566 translation of Agamemnon.
Commenting on the opportunity, she said: “I was delighted to return to this ground-breaking project, having also voiced the tragic role of Medea in the first ebook in the series, Medea, a Performance History (2016).
“Agamemnon, a Performance History draws on a unique collection of archival material and research. It uses images, film, bespoke interviews with creative practitioners and academics, and digital objects to tell the story of a play that has inspired countless interpretations onstage and onscreen, in dance, drama, and opera, across the globe from antiquity to the present day.”
Agamemnon, a Performance History and Medea, a Performance History are both available to download for free from the APGRD's website.
