US university showcases Art Tutor’s works

New work from Senior Professional Tutor in Fine Art Lin Holland has gone on display at Ouachita Baptist University in the US.

Informed by Shadows is inspired by a wide-range of sources, including the local docklands of Bidston on the Wirral Peninsula, and observations of early 14th-century Opus Anglicanum Copes in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

The two-dimensional work has been designed specifically for exhibit in the Rosemary Gossett Adams Gallery, and employs the materials and formal elements more usually attributed to drawing, such as paper, ink, line and plane, imbued with Lin’s sculptural sensibility.

Lin’s practice falls into two main categories: socially engaged, collaborative, participatory projects working with community groups, usually in the North West of England and studio-to-gallery independent sculptural practice in a range of media.
