Faculty of Business, Law and Criminology
Welcome from the Executive Dean
Welcome to the Faculty of Business, Law and Criminology. Whatever your reason for visiting these pages – as a student, an executive, a partner, or a future member of our team - I hope we can offer you a fulfilling and long-term relationship as part of our extended community. Our Faculty is a place for personal, organisational, and societal growth, anchored in the values of our University - to serve the common good, and to help to build a more equitable and sustainable world.
Our research themes reflect this deeply-held commitment. My colleagues are internationally recognised in particular for their work on business sustainability, purpose-driven leadership, human rights and democracy, environmental justice, extremism, and organised crime. We believe in the principles of social justice, and strive to instil both in our behaviour and in our teaching an entrepreneurial spirit that creates lasting and positive change in organisations and societies.
We also pride ourselves in the depth of our connections to our regional businesses who provide a continuing source of knowledge, of placements, and of oversight of our curricula so that our students are always in the forefront of the latest practices and ideas. Internationally we maintain an extensive network of university partnerships and representative organisations, such that our graduates have the opportunity to become truly global citizens.
And we do our work in the beautiful and friendly setting of the Hope Campus in Liverpool, creating a truly warm and supportive environment for learning.
If you are interested in how we might support you in your learning, development or career objectives please don’t hesitate to contact me personally at marshc@hope.ac.uk or on my LinkedIn profile. I look forward to hearing from you.
Dr Craig Marsh
