Every year, Liverpool Hope hosts hundreds of events and meetings and we pride ourselves on treating all of our guests, delegates and organisers with individual attention and care.
Each campus has a variety of events facilities and guest amenities, designed with delegates in mind. This includes year round accommodation at Hope Park, numerous coffee bars ideal for refreshment breaks, light and airy conference spaces and beautifully maintained gardens to help create an environment conducive to learning and engagement.
If you are unsure which campus the event or conference you are attending is being held at, please contact the event organiser or the Conferencing and Events Team, who will be happy to help.
Please note: Liverpool Hope University is a cashless campus and therefore cash payments are not accepted when paying invoices or at outlets around the University, including bar facility.
Hope Park
Liverpool Hope University is situated in England's North West and is an ideal location if you are travelling from within the UK, Europe, or internationally. Our Hope Park Campus is located in the pleasant Liverpool suburb of Childwall and benefits from excellent public transport, air, car and rail links:

Parking
Hope Park has over 500 parking spaces across several car parks around the campus. You can find more information, including charges on our how to find us page.
Facilities
Our Hope Park Campus has many facilities to entertain you while you are not taking part in a conference of seminar. These include:
- Catering and Refreshments - Hope Park has several catering outlets and coffee shops, including Fresh Hope and EDEN
- Fresh Hope Shop - open Monday to Friday, offering many general and food items
- Hope Park Sports - a multi-purpose gym
- Outdoor seating - delegates are welcome to relax and get some fresh air in Hope Park's beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds.

- Fresh Hope Food Court - 8am - 2pm
- Starbucks (Fresh Hope) - 8am - 4pm
- Fresh Hope Shop - 8am - 4pm

Accommodation
Overnight accommodation is available at Hope Park year round in the new EDEN Suite, for up to 34 guests in 17 double rooms.
750 bedrooms are also available to visitors between June and September each year. These are a mixture of single en-suite and single shared facilities, based in various halls throughout the campus:
- Single en-suite - Wesley, Newman and Teresa Halls
- Single shared facilities - Hilda Constance Allen Hall
There are also self catering Lodges, which are ideal for longer stays:

Creative Campus
Liverpool Hope University is situated in England's North West and is an ideal location if you are travelling from within the UK, Europe, or internationally. The Creative Campus is situated close to Liverpool city centre in Everton and benefits from excellent public transport, air, car and rail links:

- Liverpool South Parkway Train Station, 6.3 miles
- Liverpool Lime Street Train Station, 1.2 miles
- Liverpool Central Station, 1.1 miles
Parking
The Creative Campus has a limited number of car parking spaces. If the car park is full, visitors arriving by car may take advantage of utilising the nearby Q Park Royal Liverpool on Epworth Street (L6 1LY).
Coaches are able to park on the roadside next to the Creative Campus to drop off and collect delegates.

Facilities
There are several amenities to entertain guests and delegates during and after conferences:
- Catering and Refreshments - Event organisers usually arrange for delegates to take refreshments and food as part of the event, however, visitors are very welcome to use the Café 1846
- Outdoor Seating - delegates can relax and get some fresh air in Angel Field, a beautiful Renaissance style garden at the heart of the Creative Campus
- Entertainment - The Capstone Theatre is located in the Capstone building at the Creative Campus, offering delegates the chance to make more of their visit by staying to watch a performance

How do I get to campus?
Hope Park
Hope Park Campus is situated on Taggart Avenue (Childwall), close to Queens Drive (A5058) at the end of the M62. If using a Satnav, please use the following address: Taggart Avenue, L16 9JD.
From the city centre, you can take the following bus routes: 79c; 79d; 75; 78 or 86c. Please note that each route will leave a short walk to the campus.
Broad Green Railway Station is the nearest station - situated just over a mile away from the campus. Various buses are then available from Queens Drive, a short walk away, including the 61, 81 and 81A.

Creative Campus
Creative Campus is situated at the junction of Islington and Shaw Street (Everton). If using a Satnav, please use the following address: Shaw Street, L6 1HP.
From the city centre, you can take the following bus routes: 12; 13; 17; 18a or 21.
The campus is well within walking distance of Liverpool Lime Street station or a short bus ride from Queen Square Bus Station, taking the aforementioned routes.

Is car parking available on site?
Hope Park
There are four pay and display car parks with over 500 spaces in total, including disabled access spaces in each car park. Parking costs £2 per day.
If you have been given a parking permit, please clearly display this in your vehicle.
The University has established designated Blue Badge parking spaces close to the main University buildings. Particular attention will be paid to controlling these spaces for Blue Badge holders. Vehicles using these spaces must clearly display a registered Blue Badge.
There are lockable bike stores outside the Halls of Residence. Keys for the stores cost £2 which is refundable on return of the key and can be hired from the Accommodation Office (Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, Estates Building). You must still use a lock on your bike.
Creative Campus
There is very limited parking at our Creative Campus and we recommend the use of nearby public car parks or public transport (see above).
We do have accessible spaces for blue badge holders.
The nearest car park is Q-Park on Epworth Street. Due to the one-way system, you need to approach the Q-Park via Brunswick Road then Low Hill then Erskine Street (A580), turning left into Epworth Street. The car park is clearly visible. If you arrive in the evening, the entrance of the Q-park may be closed, but if you simply drive up the ramp, the gates will open for you automatically. Who is the nearest taxi firm?
If you wish to book a taxi, the local taxi firm ‘Alpha’ are contactable on: 0151 722 8888. Alternatively, our Conferencing and Events Team or Campus Operatives will be more than happy to order a taxi for you.
Please note: the taxi rank at Hope Park is located behind the Main Lodge.
How will my specific needs and requirements be met?
To ensure that you receive the appropriate information, advice and assistance, we ask that you notify your conference organiser or the Conferencing and Event Team of any specific requirements.
Staying in accommodation on campus
What time is check-in?
Check-in is from 14:00, unless alternative arrangements have been arranged prior to arrival.
Collection of your accommodation keys is at your conference registration point during working hours.
If you are arriving outside of these hours or outside of your conference registration hours, our Main Lodge is open 24 hours and will be happy to help check you in upon your arrival.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is at 10:00am, unless alternative arrangements have been arranged prior to arrival.
Upon your departure, we kindly ask for all accommodation keys to be returned to our Campus’ Main Lodge, or our Conference and Events Office (located at Hope Park).
Please be advised, that there is a £50 replacement fee for keys which are unreturned on day of departure.
What are the breakfast arrangements?
If you are staying on a B&B basis, a six item breakfast will be served between 7:30am – 9:30am in Fresh Hope Food Court at Hope Park, and Cafe 1846 at Creative Campus. Please refer to your event programme for the specific time allocation.
At breakfast, you will be provided with the opportunity to select six items from the following list: bacon; sausage; vegetarian sausage; scrambled eggs; plum tomatoes; hash browns; baked beans; toast; yoghurt or fruit, together with a cup of tea, coffee or juice.
If you are staying on a room only basis, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a quick-service breakfast on or around our campus.
What facilities are available in bedrooms?
The facilities available in each room will depend on the type of accommodation you book. To find detailed information about each bedroom type, visit our Accommodation pages, then simply select your chosen campus.
A towel, bed linen, complimentary tea/coffee and toiletry pack (subject to availability) will be provided in all of our rooms.
If you are travelling from outside of the UK, we advise you to bring your own electrical adapters.
If you require anything additional there is a shop at our Hope Park campus (located in Fresh Hope) where you can purchase basic amenities.
Will there be Wi-Fi available?
Access to Wi-Fi is available to event guests. This facility provides limited access to the internet ie to public web pages and web-based email only; other services and programs may not work. To use this facility guests require their own laptop, tablet or phone. Guests who have registered with their home university/organisation to use the eduroam network should automatically be connected to this network. Connection to this network is the responsibility of the guest’s home university/organisation.
Upon your arrival, please collect your complimentary username and password from your registration desk or check your delegate pack if your are residing on campus.
Does the university provide a concierge service?
Currently, we do not have the resources to offer a concierge service. However, if you require special assistance with your luggage please make arrangements with us prior to your arrival.
Can items be delivered and stored prior to the conference/event?
If any items are to be delivered to any University premises for the Event, arrangements must be made with the Conferencing and Event team beforehand. We will reasonably endeavour to provide safekeeping of such items, which will nevertheless remain at your own risk and we will not be held responsible in the event of loss, theft or damage.
We will assist you, where reasonably possible, with the storage of equipment etc, however, we do not accept any liability for loss or damage to any item of equipment, furniture, stock or the like left in storage.
Are there laundry services on campus?
There are card-operated laundrette at each campus, which you can top up online at any time, all you need to take is your own washing powder and fabric conditioner.
Is smoking permitted on campus?
The University operates a no-smoking policy throughout its premises - including the use of electronic cigarettes. Please refer to your campus map to locate your nearest designated smoking area.
Please note: Guests found guilty of smoking in the Halls of Residence or other buildings may incur a fumigation charge of £150.00 per bedroom/room. Should the University see fit that a whole flat/corridor needs to be fumigated, a charge will be set accordingly depending on the circumstances.
What can I do to support Liverpool Hope Universities’ sustainability pledge?
Here at Liverpool Hope University, we have set ourselves ambitious targets to reduce our energy consumption by 25% by 2020-2021; we have made good progress so far, but there is still more to do. We therefore encourage all visitors to be mindful of their impact throughout their time here, by taking the following measures:
- Ensure all equipment and lights at the end of each session
- Bring a refillable water bottle or flask
- Recycle all waste material
- Reuse your bathroom towel
