MUSIC PRODUCTION
Liverpool is a UNESCO City of Music, and studying Music Production at Liverpool Hope puts you right in the middle of its creative energy. The course blends songwriting, studio production, audio engineering and music technologies with hands‑on learning in professional-grade facilities used across the music industry. You’ll explore DAW production, audio for media, live sound, experimental music production and turntablism, supported by one‑to‑one tuition and teaching from practising industry professionals.
You'll work in specialist recording studios featuring professional preamps, a hands-on SSL Nucleus control surface for DAW-based workflow, a flexible network of interconnected editing suites, control rooms and live rooms, and a full microphone suite, gaining real experience in recording, editing, mixing and producing across genres. The course also connects you with Liverpool’s vibrant music scene through collaborations, guest masterclasses and creative projects.
Throughout your degree, you’ll build a strong creative identity, develop technical confidence, and learn how music production shapes today’s digital culture. MUSICAL THEATRE
Develop your skills as a confident, versatile performer on Liverpool Hope University’s Musical Theatre degree. Based in the heart of Liverpool’s thriving theatre and creative scene, this Musical Theatre course combines professional training in singing, acting and dance with the academic study of musical theatre. You’ll graduate with the practical skills, industry knowledge and confidence to pursue a career in the performing arts and creative industries.
Learn from experienced musical theatre professionals with West End and regional theatre credits through practical workshops, ensemble performances, one-to-one vocal tuition and live productions. As you progress, you’ll develop your skills in acting through song, vocal technique, choreography, directing, producing and musical theatre history, while gaining a deeper understanding of how professional productions are created.
Throughout your degree, you’ll build essential industry skills including movement, music reading, rehearsal techniques and audition preparation, while developing your own creative identity as a performer.
