CREATIVE WRITING

Creative Writing at Liverpool Hope is designed for young writers who want to develop their voice, experiment with new ideas and styles, and build confidence in their craft. You’ll explore fiction, poetry, lifewriting, screenwriting, scriptwriting and digital storytelling, learning how writers shape meaning, emotion and identity and contribute to society and social change.

Teaching takes place in small, supportive workshops led by award-winning practising writers and research active academics whose work was rated ‘worldleading’ and ‘internationally excellent’ in REF 2021. You’ll analyse contemporary writing, create your own original work, and learn how to edit, refine and present your ideas with clarity and impact. Studying in Liverpool, a city known for its music, culture, festivals and creative energy, gives you a vibrant location for realworld writing opportunities.

Throughout your degree, you’ll build skills in creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration, preparing you for a future in the cultural and creative industries. Creative Writing at Liverpool Hope helps you grow as a storyteller, thinker and creator, ready to make your mark in a city that celebrates imagination.

Hear a warm welcome from Senior Lecturer Dr Lisa Nahajec.
