Senior Lecturer in Social Sciences (Focus in Social Work)

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Lecturer to join our social work teaching team. The successful candidate will support teaching across both the BA and MA programmes, contributing their practice experience, specialist interests, and research activities. Social work practice experience is essential, and we would welcome applications from candidates with a background from any key social work sector.

In addition to supporting the teaching programmes, the successful candidate will also contribute to dissertation supervision, practice placement support, interviewing student applicants, and pastoral support to students. Our team is supported by an established group pf people with lived experience; and we are active members of the local teaching partnership.

The School of Social Science runs undergraduate degree programmes in Criminology, Sociology, Social Policy, SEN and Disability Studies, Childhood and Youth, Health and Well-being, Health and Social Care, and Social Work.  The School also runs Masters programmes in Social Work, Youth and Community Development, Social Policy, Sociology, Disability Studies and Criminology.
