2APGC101 - Senior Professional Tutor Primary Education (Early Years)
This role will be fixed term/limited duration for 12 months in the first instance and may become permanent in the future depending on student numbers. However, it is important that colleagues are aware that unfortunately there is no guarantee that the roles will become permanent. As such, applicants should understand their employment with the University may be at risk at the end of the 12 month period if the work is no longer required (due to insufficient student numbers or another substantial reason) or if they do not secure an alternative permanent role at the University within this period. The University would consider if student numbers were sufficiently strong to justify the positions becoming open-ended at that point.
The School of Education at Liverpool Hope is growing its team in ITE with a new post dedicated to early years education.
The role will be of considerable significance moving forward, and we are looking for applicants who have the professional expertise, drive, and commitment to ensure that the curriculum is ambitious, carefully sequenced, and underpinned by our commitment to inclusion and social justice. Additionally, as a highly-skilled professional, substantial recent experience in a professional context such as curriculum development, leadership, experience across multiple key stages including Early Years Foundation Stage.
We are looking for professionals who understand the importance of the university-school partnership and will be skilled in strengthening relationships with schools.
We are looking for an individual who will bring enthusiasm and a sense of vocation for their chosen subject and profession, with demonstrable successful experience in an educational context. You will be supported to develop fully as a leading Teacher Educator; this will include training and professional development. Bringing substantial, recent, and relevant professional experience, which may be within an HEI, you will be looking for an opportunity to work with others to ensure that Hope ECTs and graduates will be effective, reflective, fully informed, and committed curriculum shapers of the future.
