Service of Remembrance at the Creative Campus

On Friday 6th November 2023, the Girls Choir of Liverpool Cathedral joined university students and staff and members of the public in a poignant Service of Remembrance at the Creative Campus.

The service included two dramatic pieces by some of our Drama students: a performance of “The Man He Killed” by Thomas Hardy, and a short drama, “Your Country Needs You”, devised by the students themselves. Both were extremely moving pieces. Along with an exquisite piano solo by Niamh Carroll-Moriarty, members of the congregation were also moved by the beautiful singing of the Girls Choir and by two movements of Professor Stephen Davismoon’s sound installation, “Rains of Steel”, which dramatically incorporated evocative sounds from WW1.
