Uni Connect and MCOP
The Liverpool Hope mentoring programme works with groups of 20 students in Year 10. The sessions are tailored towards exploring progression routes, future education opportunities, key learning techniques and confidence building.
A member of Hope staff will run four individual sessions with the students which can be delivered in schools or at either of our campuses. This can also be extended to 6 sessions to suit the needs of the school upon request.
Additionally for all key schools these sessions are all free and any visits to campus including the residential are covered.
The schedule
Session 1: Type of Learner / Future Prospects / Potential Careers
Session 2: Research & Debating Techniques
Session 3: Presentation Design & Building / Peer Review Exercise
Session 4: Presentation Improvements / Presenting / Self Reflection
The timings of each session can be tailored to your needs but we would recommend 4 hours, 10am - 2pm with an hour for lunch.
Hope Residential
Upon completion of the programme, we also offer the students the option to take part in a free residential stay on campus in our halls of residence at Hope Park. The residential will include:
- Taster sessions
- Interactive activities
- Personal and life skills exercises
- Entertainment
