Widening Participation and MCOP
Liverpool Hope is committed to widening participation to underrepresented groups in the university sector. Our aim is to inspire and inform, providing the knowledge and confidence to your students to see higher education as a viable route.
The Outreach and Widening Participation Team deliver projects and activities with groups of up to 20 students. Our Team are experienced outreach professionals who can help your students explore progression routes, future education opportunities, key learning techniques and confidence building.
We are currently running a programme with a local secondary school focused on sports offerings at university, funded by Shaping Futures. The aim of the programme is to encourage working class boys to consider higher education as an option, through participating in sports related academic activities and recreational sports with student teams/societies.
Also, at Hope, we are creating a partnership with another secondary school to support their student council through a campaigning project with Hope SU, provide opportunities to visit the University campus and explore what is on offer at Liverpool Hope. The aim of the project is to widen participation to underrepresented students and support the aims of the student council.
