EDUCATION

ENGLISH LITERATURE

Studying English Literature at Liverpool Hope puts you right in the heart of one of the UK’s most creative and culturally rich cities. You’ll explore fiction, poetry, drama, life‑writing, travel writing and global literature, discovering how stories shape identity, society, sustainability and wellbeing. 

Teaching takes place in small, friendly groups led by research‑active academics whose work was rated ‘world‑leading’ and ‘internationally excellent’ in REF 2021. You’ll develop confidence in analysing texts, debating ideas, and understanding how literature connects with real‑world issues, from politics and culture to digital media and creative industries.
