HR Manager
Liverpool Hope University is seeking to appoint a HR Manager within its People Services Department.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and professional HR service to across the University, supporting the delivery of the University’s strategic and operational objectives through effective people management practice.
Reporting to the Director of People Services, the HR Manager will offer high-quality advice and guidance to managers and staff across a broad range of HR matters, including employee relations, recruitment and selection, performance management, organisational change, workforce planning and policy development. The role involves working closely with senior leaders and trade union colleagues to support constructive working relationships and ensure compliance with employment legislation and University policies.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a comparable HR role within a large, complex organisation and will demonstrate the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, prioritise effectively and adapt to changing requirements. A professional HR qualification (MCIPD or equivalent) or degree-level qualification/relevant professional experience is essential, along with a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and to the mission and values of Liverpool Hope University.
Finally you will represent the University with credibility at regional and national levels contributing to sector discussions and ensuring Hope’s voice is influential in shaping employment practice across higher education. Through constructive engagement with trade unions, external partners and regulatory bodies you will help strengthen the University’s reputation as a responsible, values-driven and people-centred employer.
