DRAMA

Bring your ideas to the stage. The Drama BA (Hons) at Liverpool Hope University is built for creative storytellers ready to make bold, original performances and to study drama in a city with a thriving arts scene.

This dynamic degree blends hands-on practical training in theatre-making with real critical and historical depth. In Year 1, you'll build strong foundations in devising and text-based performance. Year 2 takes you into creative health, contemporary adaptation and scenography. By your final year, you're developing creative leadership and getting industry ready.

Small-group teaching and personalised support mean you're never just a number and you'll have direct access to Liverpool's vibrant creative community throughout. As you grow as a practitioner, shape your own path with specialisms in Applied Drama, Scenography, Contemporary Adaptation, or Drama Beyond the Traditional Stage.

Find your own creative voice and start building the career you want.

HISTORY

Study a History degree that helps you understand how the past continues to shape the world we live in today. At Liverpool Hope University, you'll explore key events, ideas and people across different historical periods while developing the skills to question evidence, analyse sources and construct persuasive arguments.

This History course encourages you to investigate a wide range of topics, from early modern societies to modern political, social and cultural history. You'll examine history from local, national and global perspectives, learning how historical events continue to influence contemporary society.

You'll be taught by historians whose expertise spans diverse historical periods and themes. Small class sizes allow you to work closely with academic staff, take part in lively discussions and receive personalised support throughout your studies.

Beyond lectures and seminars, you'll build practical skills through independent research, archival work and authentic assessments that prepare you for graduate employment. The course develops critical thinking, communication, digital literacy and research skills that are valued across many professions.

If you're passionate about understanding the past and its relevance today, this History degree provides the knowledge, confidence and practical experience to help you succeed.

Hear a warm welcome from Associate Professor Catalina Montoya Londono.
