INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Information Technology (IT) plays a vital role in every organisation; supporting systems, networks and digital infrastructure that businesses, public services and communities rely on every day. You'll develop the practical and technical skills needed to design, implement and manage modern IT solutions while exploring areas such as databases, modern web and cloud technologies, software development, systems administration, and business intelligence.  

As you progress, you will build your technical expertise, strengthen your problem-solving, analytical and project management skills through practical learning and real-world projects. You will combine theory with hands-on experience, preparing you to respond to the rapidly changing demands of the technology sector. 

In your final year, you will undertake a dissertation and study emerging topics taught by staff researching in areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing and distributed systems, data analytics and data-driven decision-making, IoT, and ethical, legal and social issues in digital technology.
