ENGLISH LANGUAGE

English Language at Liverpool Hope explores how language shapes the world, from identity and culture to media, politics and everyday communication. You’ll study how English has evolved, how it works in real life, and how people use language to persuade, connect and create meaning. Modules cover areas such as sociolinguistics, grammar, discourse analysis, language change, world Englishes and the relationship between language, society and power. 

Teaching takes place in small, supportive classes, giving you the confidence to debate ideas, analyse real-world language data and understand how English operates across different communities and contexts. SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

Make a difference by challenging barriers to inclusion and championing disability rights with Liverpool Hope University’s Special Educational Needs degree.
