The award has four strands and you must complete all four in order to achieve the award:
As well as arranging your own volunteering activities, the University provides various opportunities for student engagement, including: course representatives; staff and student liaison committee members; student ambassador roles; mentoring roles in local primary and secondary schools; writing mentors for fellow undergraduate students; fundraising for the University; and research assistants for academic departments.
You must take part in 80+ hours of voluntary service over at least two different projects. You also need to complete a reflective review that will document your experiences and what you have learnt along the way.
The completion of the Award will lead to your efforts being recognised formally with the Liverpool Hope University Service and Leadership Award Certificate, presented to you at your Graduation ceremony.
The University wants all students to have the opportunity to undertake SALA and automatically registers students so that you have access to all the information about the Award. However, if you decide that you do not want to take up this opportunity, you can email email@example.com to opt out.
