Studying in Liverpool, one of the UK's most vibrant cultural cities, you'll explore art and visual culture while surrounded by world-class museums, galleries and creative organisations.

This Art History degree goes beyond traditional art history, examining topics such as Gender and Sexuality in Visual Culture, Photographic Theory and Practice, Art and Propaganda, and Art and Environment. You'll learn how images influence society, politics, identity and culture while developing valuable skills in research, critical thinking, communication and visual analysis.

Based in Liverpool's thriving cultural landscape, you'll benefit from links with organisations including Tate Liverpool, The Bluecoat, National Museums Liverpool and Dot-Art, alongside access to Fine Art and Design studios and workshops.
