Any capacity that remains we offer for external hire on a commercial revenue basis. This is managed in line with University strategy which considers the staffing available to manage such bookings.
Block Bookings
Hope Park Sports has a number of facilities including:
- 3G pitch
- Astro Pitch
- Sports Hall
- Exercise Studio
The information below provides an overview of the booking procedure and the requirements that must be in place before we are able to accept facility hire bookings from your club.
- Booking period is in line with the academic year (September - May) extensions will be considered
- A completed Sport Facility Hire Request Form returned to the bookings team email address a minimum of 14 working days prior to the first session date requested
- Completion of the form does not guarantee or confirm the booking
- Once received a member of the team will review your booking request and respond to you by email, as soon as convenient, to inform you if your request has been successful
We will ask you to provide the following documentation before the booking is confirmed;
- Public Liability Insurance
- Risk Assessment
- Method Statement (if not regular sports booking)
- Safeguarding and Child Protection Protocols

One-off Events
We occasionally hire our facilities for one-off events, costs for one-off events will be based on the event requirements.
If you are looking for a suitable venue to host your event then browse our Hope Park Sports brochure which provides details of all of our facilities, get in touch with the team via the email provided above and we will let you know id we can accommodate your event.
Staff Family Membership Scheme
The Scheme is offered by the University to enable University Staff to register eligible Family Members for Membership, allowing access to specified facilities at Hope Park Sports. Membership includes access to the fitness suite and hiring of the squash courts, subject to booking availability.
Staff Family Memberships are available to family members of LHU staff only. The staff member must have a valid Sports Complex Membership, the offer will be for a maximum of two people per staff member.

Membership Periods
Memberships are offered in line with our academic calendar, there is a semester block and a non term time block. We are currently offering our non term time block.
Semester - A 12 week block to align with our teaching weeks known as semesters. There are 2 semesters per the academic calendar September - December and January to March.
Non - term Time - Monthly memberships will be offered during this period, each month will differ slightly due to our reduced operating hours during non-term time. We are currently offering our April and May memberships.
Membership Fee
The cost for the semester membership period is £70. The non-term time cost will differ and be dependent on offering, you can currently sign up for April and May at a monthly cost of £20.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for the membership, you must be;
- 18 years or older; and
- be a family member of a current University staff member
Registration
To register for a Staff Family Membership you will need to visit the University Online Store to register including completion of;
- online registration
- mandatory online gym induction and briefing video
- agreement to the Health Commitment Statement and Readiness to Exercise declaration
- payment of the membership fee.
On completion you will receive a notification email with instructions you must follow to complete the activation process.

Attending a Conference at Liverpool Hope?
Guest Gym Pass
If you are attending a Conference at the University, you may be entitled to utilise the fitness suite facilities during your visit. The Conferencing and Events team will be able to provide further details about this when making your Conference booking.
