BA (Hons) Content Creation at Liverpool Hope University is a hands-on degree for people who want to make, experiment and tell stories through digital media.
Whether you're interested in making videos, producing podcasts, creating digital art or exploring new technologies, this course will help you develop the creative and technical skills to turn your ideas into original work, laying the foundations for a sustainable career in the creative industries.
You'll explore video and audio production, photography, digital storytelling, editing and interactive media, taking ideas from concept to finished project. You'll experiment with emerging technologies, including AI, and discover new ways to communicate and connect with audiences.
Based at Liverpool Hope's Creative Campus, you'll study alongside musicians, performers, filmmakers, designers and artists. You'll have opportunities to collaborate across creative disciplines, develop content inspired by performances and exhibitions, and explore how different forms of media come together.
You'll do more than learn about content creation: you'll create, experiment and develop your own creative voice. Through practical projects and portfolio development, you'll gain experience planning, producing and presenting content. You'll also explore how digital media shapes our culture, how to work ethically and how to adapt as creative technologies evolve.
From digital media production and broadcasting to independent creative practice and online content, this degree will help you develop the skills, confidence and portfolio to take your next steps as a content creator.

Content creation opens up career opportunities across the creative industries, from video and audio production to broadcasting, digital media, arts and culture, marketing and communications. This degree helps you develop the creative, technical and professional skills to produce original work across different media and platforms.
Graduates may pursue roles such as Content Creator, Digital Content Producer, Video Producer, Video Editor, Podcast Producer, Audio Producer, Multimedia Producer, Creative Strategist or Digital Communications Officer. The course also supports freelance and independent creative careers, helping you develop the skills and confidence to establish your own creative practice or business. Through practical projects, collaboration and portfolio development, you'll gain experience in developing ideas, producing digital content and presenting your work. You'll also build transferable skills in creative problem-solving, communication, teamwork and adapting to emerging technologies, including AI.
The programme also provides a foundation for postgraduate study in Digital Media, Film and Video Production, Audio Production, Creative Technologies, Journalism, Media and Communication, and related fields. You'll graduate with a portfolio of creative work and the skills to explore new opportunities as the creative industries evolve.

Tuition fees
The tuition fees for the 2026/27 academic year are £9,790 for full-time undergraduate courses.*
If you are a student from the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands, your tuition fees will also be £9,790.
The tuition fees for the 2027/28 academic year will be £10,050 for full-time undergraduate courses.*

The University reserves the right to increase Home and EU Undergraduate and PGCE tuition fees in line with any inflationary or other increase authorised by the Secretary of State for future years of study.
Home students (UK)
*Tuition fees are subject to inflation-linked increases in line with government policy. Updated fees will be confirmed in line with the maximum fee cap set by the Government or the Office for Students (OfS) for each academic year. This means your fee may increase for each academic year of study, but only up to the maximum amount permitted for that year.
Eligible UK students can apply to the Government for a tuition loan, which is paid direct to the University. This has a low interest-rate which is charged from the time the first part of the loan is paid to the University until you have repaid it.
