Our Libraries
The Sheppard-Worlock Library offers bookable and drop-in study spaces, dedicated postgraduate spaces, private study rooms with PCs, collaborative group rooms with presentation facilities, and a range of zones to study in including silent, quiet, group, and social spaces.
The Creative Campus has two small libraries in the Cornerstone and Capstone buildings. The Cornerstone building offers a 24-hour PC study space called the Student Success Zone and a dedicated Honours space with PCs.
Library staff are here to help and support you with your studies at Liverpool Hope. The Library is staffed by Academic Services Librarians and Library Assistants during core opening hours.
Explore the Sheppard-Worlock Library using our virtual tour.
Library Help Point
Library Assistants can help you with finding books in the Library and any issues with your library account. There will be a member of staff at the Library Help Point during core opening hours to answer or refer to any questions you may have.
Student Ambassadors, identified by their red top, work at the Help Point during non-core, extended opening hours and can help with basic enquiries such as opening hours, using the self-service machines, and directions.
Subject Support Point
Academic Services Librarians are available for detailed subject enquiries and research techniques. They can offer support face-to-face or online via Zoom.

Library study spaces
The Sheppard-Worlock Library has the largest range of study spaces in the University, offering a range of zones from silent, quiet, group and social for you to use. The Library has just under 160 PCs, black and white and colour printing, photocopying and scanning facilities. For a more detailed view of the library, click on the floor plans below:

Kitchen and social spaces
If you need a break or something to eat and drink, visit our Student Kitchen Space. You can refill your water bottle, warm up your food in one of the microwaves, or make yourself a hot drink with the kettles provided. Bring your own refreshments and don’t forget to use a lidded mug. There are also cold drinks and snack vending machines (card only).
We have put together several resources, activities and ideas to help you maintain a good study/rest balance. It may seem counter-productive to take time out when a deadline is looming, but research shows that it’s a really effective investment of your time. So why not take time out to play a game of Scrabble, read a well-being book, or just take a break? There are comfy seats in the Kitchen, in the Group space next to the Kitchen and at the top of the stairs up to the IT Balcony.
We run and promote a range of well-being activities throughout the year, such as the inspiration tree, desk yoga and remind you of the best local outdoor walking areas. Details are advertised on the Library Moodle.
