This course focuses on research and ethics in the regulation and policing of cyberspace and emerging telecommunications technologies. Students will explore topics such as regulatory and governance theory, cyber rights, cybercrime, internet governance, alternative regulatory models, and the legal and political implications of technology use, including AI and cybersecurity.

The LLM by Research program offers students an in-depth understanding of the regulation of Migration and Refugee law, addressing what policymakers and law enforcement agencies consider a global challenge. The significant migration to developed regions and the mass movement of refugees fleeing conflict pose critical issues for host countries. Differentiating between voluntary and forced migration is increasingly complex, complicating the establishment of effective regulatory frameworks. As a result, the demand for skilled professionals in the regulatory, policing, and developmental aspects of Migration and Refugee law is expected to rise in the coming decades.
