Gen AI Advice & Guidance

Generative AI (GenAI) is the newest and most significant development within the computing world with huge significance for HE.

The university has devoted time and space to this issue at our Learning and Teaching Days, Learning and Teaching Events Week, and the recently established COP devoted to exploring good teaching practice utilising AI. On the Google site you will find a range of articles, resources and links grouped into the following headings.

  • GenAI Policies and Guidance: this section contains the Academic Misconduct Policy, Generative AI Guidance and Turnitin Submission document. There is also a link to the AI webpage that has been developed for students

  • Teaching and Research: this section points to tools where Gen AI can be used to support research, AI Literacy, Using AI in the classroom, and reports and research on how students are using GenAI

  • Assessment: this section provides tools and advice on reviewing existing assessments, assessment design and the University’s position on GenAI detection tools

  • Support Resources: this section provides links to online courses and webinars which focus on GenAI in higher education.
