Counselling

UG Slideshow 1

Liverpool Hope University offers a professional and confidential student counselling service, supporting students with any personal issue(s) that may be affecting their ability to engage fully with their studies.

The service normally operates Monday to Friday, between 9am – 6pm. Students can access counselling in a number of ways including telephone, Zoom video call, and face-to-face.

The first step to accessing student counselling is for the student to attend a Well-being Drop-in. The drop-in sessions are available via Zoom video call or telephone, Monday to Friday between 12-2pm, during term-time. The drop-ins provide students with the opportunity to speak briefly with a mental well-being professional. If during the drop-in it is identified that the student would benefit from ongoing counselling, an initial consultation session is arranged.

To access a well-being drop-in, students should contact Student Life on the morning they wish to attend the drop-in and a member of the team will arrange things from there.

If you are worried about the immediate safety/well-being of a student

Where a member of University staff becomes sufficiently concerned regarding the welfare and/or well-being of a student, those concerns should be notified to the Student Life team, as soon as possible.
