For students living in University Halls of Residence, outside of business hours their Resident Tutor should be the first point of contact and will be available to assist a distressed student in the first instance.

If the student doesn’t live in halls of residence and you are concerned about their current state of mental health or well-being, 24 hour help is available. You may wish to advise them of the services that can help whilst they are not within the university.
