Life on campus

Life on Campus Graphic Banner

Our campuses are vibrant, engaging and beautiful places. We pride ourselves in offering modern and safe environments for our students to enjoy. This page introduces you to the different areas within the University that are key to a successful life on campus.

Residential Team

Our Residential Team is part of Student Life and is here to support you during your time in halls. All of the team are recent Hope graduates or current students and can help you with accommodation queries, and the transition into higher education, as well as support you with:

  • Helping you settle into your halls.
  • Advising you on all the practical questions you may have, including shopping, transport, and where to get advice.
  • Signposting you to appropriate mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Social activities in halls and across the campuses.
  • Resolving any issues that may occur with your flatmates.

The team will be visible around campus, so do say hello and ask them for help when you need it.

If you have any questions before you move into our halls, please contact the team on residentiallife@hope.ac.uk or you can follow them on Instagram at @lhu_residential_life.

Student Engagement Officers

The Student Engagement Officers are a visible first point of contact on campus, supporting students and signposting them to the necessary services. If you are unsure about anything, don't be afraid to come and ask them a question. You can find them on the ground floor of the Gateway Building at Hope Park, or the Glass Hub in the Cornerstone Building at the Creative Campus.

They are also responsible for providing engagement events and activities for students throughout the academic year. As recent graduates, they can help guide you through any problems or queries you may have. No matter what you need, the Student Engagement Officers are there for every part of your university experience.

Hope Social

Hope Social is the official University social events team. They organise a full programme of events and activities that take place across each campus, ensuring that there is something for everyone. Look out for the monthly guide containing all the events details in Halls of Residence and on social media.

We also recommend that you take a look at Hope Social’s Instagram to look at all of our previous events. You can do this by following @hopesocialliverpool.

If you have any event suggestions, questions or would like to speak further with the team please contact social@hope.ac.uk.

Campus Operatives

Our Campus Operative Team is your first point of contact in an emergency on campus or in halls. They offer 24/7 support for students and staff. They can help you with:

  • Providing immediate response in the event of an emergency or incident on campus.
  • Providing a presence on all campuses.
  • Monitoring the CCTV for your safety.

All of our students are provided with details to contact the security lodge in the event of an emergency.

Eat at Hope

The Eat at Hope facilities are at the heart of our Hope student community.

There are many places to eat and drink on the campuses, including:

Our Place Bar + Kitchen at Hope Park, serving freshly prepared pizzas, succulent burgers and ice cream shakes,

Café 1846 at the Creative Campus, which serves specially selected coffees, teas and cold drinks, as well as a wide range of cakes, sandwiches, toasties and paninis,

EDEN Café in the EDEN Building at Hope Park, serving a full range of Costa Coffee™, teas and cold drinks, along with a range of fresh sandwiches and cakes.

Plus, several Starbucks™ outlets where you can grab your caffeine fix!

You can view food menus, including new releases, through their instagram @eatathope.

You can also order food online.

The campus Co-Op is also home to our very own ‘Essentials at Hope range’ – a range of fresh meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and dairy at unbeatable low prices. They also sell all the household nescessaties that every student needs.
